Small Claims can be Filled Out Online

Jun 29, 2016

Now ALL small claims can be filed online – quickly, easily and securely

All types of small claims in Ontario can now be filed online. Read today’s news release.

Ontario’s expanded small claims court online service allows you to prepare and submit forms online, pay court fees securely using debit or credit cards and receive court-issued documents by email for all types of claims.

How it works

There are two ways to file a small claim online:

  • The Filing Wizard is a good option for people representing themselves and first-time filers not familiar with the small claims court process. It guides users through the process of creating and submitting small claims court documents and paying fees online.

  • Quick File allows legal professionals and regular users of small claims court to quickly and easily upload court documents that have already been completed offline.

Small claims court online filing is delivered securely through ServiceOntario.

Making court services easier, faster and more accessible by delivering them online is one of the ways we are working to achieve Better Justice Together, our vision of a modern, responsive and sustainable justice system.
