    Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication, impeccable attention to detail and exceptional time-management and organization skills. They will be responsible for supporting the lawyer(s) with various aspects of the file management process, corresponding with internal and external stakeholders, and looking for ways to improve processes and efficiency.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Receive file contents and correspondence from client(s) and organize in a timely manner
    • Ensure accuracy throughout the entirety of the file
    • Thoroughly review and organize supporting evidence
    • Review, edit, and annotate documentation in accordance with relevant criteria and procedures
    • Draft summaries, affidavits, client correspondence, briefs, witness lists etc.
    • Regular correspondence with relevant stakeholders
    • Proactively calculate and manage applicable timelines, deadlines and other key dates
    • Keep accurate records of important details, new developments, and required tasks involved in each file
    • Perform research and investigative tasks as needed, to ensure sufficient evidentiary support
    • Other general tasks, as needed, within the nature and scope of the position

    To be successful in this role, you possess:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in an office environment, in the legal industry is preferred but not required
    • Impeccable attention to detail
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize (and reprioritize) in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
    • Customer-service orientation
    • Proven ability to work independently
    • Proficiency with legal software is an asset
