Our accounting department is seeking a full-time in office Senior Accounting Clerk, who will report to the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will need to have experience reconciling, balancing, and preparing financial statements and other financial reporting information for the Firm. The ideal candidate should have completed an accounting program or at the least have an accounting certificate, along with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience of financial accounting experience.
Knowledge of Soluno Accounting Software would be beneficial and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is a must.
Major Responsibilities and Duties will include:
· Prepares daily cash receipt deposits for incoming cheques to the Firm
· Prepares daily cash statements
· Updates daily bank reconciliation details in preparation for month-end bank reconciliation
· Prepares and processes month-end activities including journal entries, HST returns, cheque cancellation, various balance sheet accounts reconciliation and deposit accounts reconciliation
· Assist with the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements
· Assist with payroll
· Ad-hoc accounting activities resulting from any finance initiatives
· Track prepaid and accrued expenses and adjust monthly, as needed
· Assist in special projects, as needed
