Hooper Law is looking for an experienced paralegal/law clerk for a downtown Hamilton personal injury practice.

With decades of legal experience in protecting and promoting victims’ rights, our team of specialized personal injury lawyers and professional staff have a well-earned reputation for helping victims get the justice they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines
• Manage and prepare litigation files
• Liaise with clients and professionals
• Drafting legal documents and correspondence as required
• Assist lawyers in preparation for discoveries, mediations, pre-trials, and trials
• Appearing before the License Appeal Tribunal, filing and preparation of documents for LAT hearings

Qualifications:

• Licensed Paralegal in good standing and/or Law clerk diploma
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure, Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule, LAT Rules of Practice and Procedure
• Proficiency in MS Office, and legal software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and attention to detail
