I am a newly licensed lawyer (Called to the Bar March 2025) and am looking for a Junior Lawyer position. I have worked previously as a legal assistant in the areas of civil litigation, estates litigation, and personal injury. I have successfully completed the Law Practice Program where I worked on the following:

• Trained on and used Clio docketing and file management system.
• Drafted a commercial contract and an employment contract.
• Drafted a Basis of Claim for refugee protection and reviewed documentary disclosure. 
• Prepared and presented oral submissions at a simulated Immigration and Refugee Board hearing.
• Advised client during a meeting and through an accompanying memo on their options for the structure of a new business enterprise.
• Reviewed incorporation documents.
• Drafted retainer agreement for a civil litigation matter.
• Drafted a Statement of Defence.
• Reviewed Affidavit of Documents.
• Conducted title search through Teraview.
• Reviewed Agreement of Purchase and Sale for residential purchase.
• Drafted Statement of Funds and Adjustments.
• Prepared for and conducted meeting with senior partner regarding closing documents.
• Prepared for and participated in sentencing hearing on behalf of client.
• Participated in an intensive trial advocacy workshop that explored all aspects of the trial process and honed effective presentation and questioning techniques.
• Participated in a mock trial by preparing and delivering opening and closing statements and conducting direct, cross and re-examinations.
