    Sullivan Festeryga LLP is presently recruiting for a legal assistant supporting one Partner & one Associate lawyer in a variety of practice areas including Civil Litigation with a focus on Personal Injury matters, along with insurance litigation and accident benefits work. 

    We have an opening for a maternity leave contract for approximately 19 months with the approximate dates of the contract to be February 17,2025 - ending September 25, 2026.

      It is an asset if the successful candidate has the following skill set:

    •          At least 2 years' experience in a law firm environment with knowledge of the above noted practice areas.
    •          Duties include preparation of correspondence and legal documents, compiling documents such as Motion Records, Affidavit of Documents, and other Pleadings.
    •          Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure, legal forms & e-filing procedures is required.
    •          Familiar with Court procedures such as Provincial (Superior Court of Justice) along with knowledge of the Accident Benefits processes.
    •          Interaction with clients and general practice management, including billing & calendar management.
    •          Be a self-starter who is capable of working both independently and in a group setting.
    •          Possess excellent oral & written skills.
    •          Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines when necessary.
    •          Possess strong organizational skills.
    •          Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Word, Outlook, and PC LAW would be an asset.
